At SOTES, we believe that teachers are not only providers of knowledge, but also guardians of hope and agents of transformation. Across Somalia, educators are shaping minds, building peace, and planting the seeds of a better tomorrow, often with limited resources and recognition. It is our collective duty to ensure that these heroes receive the support, protection, and respect they deserve.

Since our founding, SOTES has worked tirelessly to unite teachers under one voice — advocating for fair treatment, professional development, job security, and inclusive education policies. We know that a strong education system begins with empowered teachers, and we remain committed to defending their rights and improving their working conditions at every level.

We are not alone in this journey. I want to thank our partners — including local education authorities, civil society organizations, and international stakeholders — who continue to support our vision of quality education for all Somali children. Together, we can create a future where every child has access to a qualified, motivated, and well-supported teacher.

To all Somali teachers: You are not alone. SOTES stands with you, speaks for you, and fights beside you. Let us continue to raise our voices, strengthen our unity, and demand the dignity that every educator deserves.
